Transfers on Saturday 28 February 2026
No cycling day. We transfer back from Aquila to the CPT hotel in the middle of the Sea Point promenade. But for the adventurous you can do a favourite out and back ride in CPT, hopping over Chapman’s Peak Drive to Houtbaai and back. As you would on the Cape Town Cycle Tour in one week’s time (albeit only in the Southernly direction). If you choose to go on this adventure, it is, as always, own risk, and we do not have guides on this optional day.

Timeline for transfers from Aquila to Cape Town
The earlier we can load and leave the earlier we can get to CPT. Kindly have your luggage ready and waiting at your room before coming to breakfast so that we can load while you enjoy the buffet 🙂 As soon as everything is loaded onto the contingent of 3x Toyota Quantum transfers vehicles, each with a bicycle or luggage trailer, then we can depart for Cape Town. Driving time is around 3hrs depending on traffic. And if we arrive at the hotel earlier than the 2pm check-in time you can have a quick lunch before gaining access to your room. Both lunch and dinner is for your own account and we will see you again by 11am the next morning, when we depart from the hotel at 12 o’clock, with the noon gun, for the last week of our journey together. Time flies when you are having fun!

- 11.00 — depart, earlier is better
- 14.00 — ETA CPT & check-in time
Sunday
- 11am — ride captains arrive
